Wow! There are so many new safety features in these 2016 models!  Automakers are introducing new, cutting-edge vehicles with innovative features, and we're also seeing major advancements in familiar features that we rely on every day such as your car's headlights and brakes. Today's article from our “Your Car Can Do What” series is here to inform you about the advancements in familiar technologies.

Here are some improved technologies on features you use every day.

Adaptive Headlights - While headlights were originally designed to remain in a fixed position, this new feature allows headlights to move according to the twists and turns of the road ahead of you. Some advanced versions are able to move both up-and-down or side-to-side. This feature does not require drivers to do anything different than they do normally.

Automatic Emergency Braking- Cars with this feature usually also have a feature called forward collision warning. The features scan the road ahead and warns you if there are any vehicles ahead of them, and if you are unable to brake in time, your brakes are automatically applied in order to avoid a collision. For more information on the collision warning system check out our Article #2.
